Inquiry Question: How can I design hands-on lab resources that can encourage collaboration among teachers and support the integration of engaging, curriculum-connected lab experiences within the school community?

Students’ learning performance and learning engagement improve when they are engage with hands-on learning experiences. I understand that teachers are saddled with increasingly high expectations and workloads. This can sometimes cause hands-on learning to be placed on the backburner. It takes a lot of work to design and create engaging labs that are also directly tied to the curriculum. The textbook offers many labs, but oftentimes these labs require specific chemicals/indicators to perform, the labs are outdated or they have no ties to specific curriculum outcomes. I chose this PIP because I am willing to do the legwork to provide all teachers with pre-made lab instructions and analysis questions that are directly tied to curriculum, allowing overworked teachers to collaborate and share resources for free (rather than purchasing lab guides from Teachers Pay Teachers). Creating a shared drive with both the lab sheets and teacher resources can give teachers the opportunity to implement more hands-on labs for their students without taking on even larger workloads.

Found below, I have designed and created lab documents (Student resources and teacher resources) that have specific curriculum ties. These labs are designed to be cost effective, achievable within 45 minute timeframes, and organized to reduce transition times or classroom management struggles. These labs are free to use and I invite all teachers to use them at their own discretion
