This PD session demonstrated ways to incorporate mindfulness in the classroom. We discussed ways to use art as a means of visualizing feelings, and then managing them.

This PD sessions showed me how emotional trauma and family turmoil does not dictate one’s success. There was also discussion of family addiction and the effects it may have on one’s teaching philosophy.

“SMUDGING”

A demonstrating and participation of a indigenous sage smudging. We listened to a welcome song, played and sung by David, then we were told the reasoning for smudging and the importance of the eagle feather during the smudging. Each participant allowed the smoke from the sage to wash over them, balancing the negative and positive energies within them.

A demonstration of how to use websites like Screencastify, Loom, FlipGrid and Wevideo. This PD session showed me how to create an interactive video that included questions with a screen recording.
